I performed my 2 songs for the Talent Show. My 2 songs are: "Bye Bye Bye" by N*Sync and "Over the Rainbow" by Shayne Ward. When it was my turn, I thought that I was ready, but I went up on stage and gave it my all. When I started to sing my first song, I messed up the first verse of the Bye Bye Bye song and I was like "Oh no... I messed it up!" Of course, I did, but I still continue it on without thinking and just having fun. Everyone was supportive and kept me going. I understood that I messed up, I had rehearsed the song from the night before and it was quite late to choose my songs and not practised enough. But, I knew that it would happened when it was stage nerves, especially in a new crowd. I thought that I was ready but I didn't thought that I would be good enough anyway.
When I sang my second song, "Over the Rainbow" I really wanted to give it my best shot and I performed it well and I could feel the song and the scenery around me. I wished that it would be my moment to shine, but I wasn't ready than I used to be, but I have learnt from this that to be myself and also don't judge on the original version of the song, it is my own version that matters and I am singing the song in my own way.
I will be taking this message and point always with me. I think that my vocals have been improved when the competition comes in. I would like to thank the people out there of who gave me this opportunity I thought that I wouldn't be getting it that far! And when I do perform again I will be practising and give it my all very soon!
Thanks for reading my blog and catch you again very soon.
Have a good Easter.
